Basic Elements:
Shadow - Powers are drawn from the night. Usually people with the fear of other people or communication have this element.
Light - Powers are drawn from the day time. Usually people with the fear of being alone or of themselves that have this element.
Water - Powers are drawn from oceans and lakes. Usually people with the fear of immobility have this element.
Fire - Powers are drawn from volcanoes. Usually people with the fear of hurt or pain have this element.
Earth - Powers are drawn from the ground and land around them. Usually people with the fear of change have this element.
Air - Powers are drawn from with winds. Usually people with the fear of responsibility have this element.
Metal - Powers drawn from one's strength of spirit and body. Usually people with the fear of the future have this element.
Mind - Powers drawn from one's inner self. Usually people with the fear of the past have this element.
Advanced Elements:
You cannot use both your Primary and Advanced Elements in the same thread. One rank or the other. This is to keep things fair.
Nightmare: The power to trap you within your own mind, surrounded by frightening images, pain feels real, and you may end up trapped within the worst parts of yourself, however, one may still break free of their own mind. Mind and Shadow. Weak to Light. Strong against Light.
Illusion: The power to trap you within your deepest fantasies and keep you there, however, one may manage to break free from the illusion. Mind and Light. Weak to Shadow. Strong against Shadow.
Dragon: Strength and Defense enhancements as well as either a “breath” of fire or water. Metal and Fire/Water. Weak to Dragon, Metal, Ice, Gemstone/Crystal, and Forgery. Strong against Dragon, Quintessence, and Electricity.
Solar: Use of sun rays. Main offensive ability is a blast of condensed sun rays, can only be used during the day time and some self healing during the day. Fire and Light. Weak to Lunar, Smoke, Cloud, and Smog. Strong against Lunar and Earth.
Smog: Can cause paralysis or poison. Can weaken the body and disrupt thought process. It also makes you immune to some status effects. Air and Shadow. Weak to Light, Air and Fire. Strong against Air.
Poison: A status aliment. Can weaken the body and disrupt thought process. But it also makes you immune to some status effects. Water and Shadow. Weak to Light and Water. Strong against Quintessence, Air, Water, and Mind.
Dark Matter: A physically stronger and light less version of Gemstone/Crystal. Made from Earth and Shadow. Weak to Quintessence, Air, Light and Gemstone/Crystal. Strong against Gemstone/Crystal, Light, Shadow, and Fire.
Gemstone/Crystal: More malleable than Dark Matter and easier to break, Gemstone/Crystal is used to build or create things. Made from Light and Earth. Weak to Dark Matter, Metal, Lava and Air. Strong against Dark Matter Fire, Light and Shadow.
Lava: Ash, molten rock, and intense heat. This element takes patience and skill to master it... if you don't want to accidentally hurt people at least. Earth and Fire. Weak to Water Pressure, Water, and Air. Strong against Earth and Ice.
Ice: Cold and deadly. Used mainly to create weapons or freeze areas/slow enemies down. Made from Water and Air. Weak to Fire and Lava. Strong against Water.
Lunar: Reflected solar light. Main offensive ability is a blast of condensed moon rays, can only be used at night and some self healing when the moon is out . Made from Water and Light. Weak to Solar, Cloud, Smoke, and Smog. Strong against Water and Solar.
Electricity: Shocking and has many uses, but can only be used as one or two properties at a time. Made from Air and Light. Weak to Earth. Strong against Water and Metal.
Smoke: Manipulation of air born ash. Made from Fire and Shadow. Weak to Air. Strong against Lunar, Solar, and Fire.
Quintessence: Manipulation of life force/spiritual energy. Made from Air/Mind and Light. Weak to Shadow and Poison. Strong against Shadow.
Cloud: Manipulation of condensed water vapor. Made from Water and Air. Weak to Air and Fire. Strong against Solar and Lunar.
Forgery: Mixing, creating, smelting... Made from Light and Metal. Weak to Lava and Water. Strong against Dragon.
Corrosion: Decay, rust, destruction of materials... Made from Shadow and Metal. Weak to Light and Quintessence. Strong against Metal.
Water Pressure: Stable with blasting power pressurized water. Made from Air and Water. Weak to Earth. Strong against Metal, Fire, and Lava.
Necromancy: The ability to control dead bodies, be warned the dead do still decay and a lot faster than the living. Made from Mind and Shadow. Weak to Light and Corrosion. Strong against Mind and Quintessence.
NOTE: Not all of the Advanced Elements, suggestion are welcome...

Each element has an weakness. Here are the basic elements weakness's:
Fire is weak to Water.
Water is weak to Earth.
Earth is weak to Air.
Air is weak to Metal.
Metal is weak to Mind.
Mind is weak to Fire.
Light is weak to Shadow.
Shadow is weak to Light.
Since Light and Shadow are opposites and perfectly balanced it makes sense they are both strong against each other.
