History [how they got to where/who they are]: Nathan was born to loving parents in Vancouver, British Columbia but his mother died in an accident when he was a mere two years of age, leaving him to be raised by his father who was a loving and doting man. Outside of what his family told him and what he divined from pictures and videos, he knew nothing of her. His father attempted to remarry but Nathan never liked the women when he was young, viewing them as trying to replace his mother or worried that they'd hurt his father. Whenever the couple would break up it would only reinforce this belief. Nathan practically clung to his father and would react rashly whenever one of his peers would comment on it.
When he was sixteen he hit a rebellious phase leading him to get a tattoo on his right shoulder. His father certainly disapproved and it caused in the pair having one of their rare, major blowups. Nathan ended up running away for a few days, even spending time with a group of runaways. However, it was when he found out that they mugged people and that one had even murdered someone in a robbery gone wrong he returned home to his worried father.
He'd only graduated from high school the month before when he'd been sucked into the game. He grouped up with various people, some dying and others merely leaving. Over time he became one of the Inverses and started his service to Shade. It was only after a few months as an Inverse that he'd beaten the leading raptor pack in the Shattered Kingdom. As a result he gained control over that section of the game as well as the alliance and close friendship of Keras, the pack's alpha.

Personality: Nathan generally has a very warm and welcoming personality. He is fairly open to others and is incredibly loyal once he feels he's met someone he can trust. Initially you would not think him capable of being an Inverse since he does not seem mad right off the bat like many of them. Instead he views his role as giving players a firm guiding hand even if it requires him to be cruel at times. While he is capable of sitting back and observing he is very much what you'd call a "man of action" meaning that he can be quite reckless and will act impulsively under the right circumstances. Once he has decided on a course of action then he can be determined to the point of being stubborn.
