"Did you know that what you wish to make true, Would take me forever from you? Did you know I'm a broken glass Missing a heart and filled with a desperate past? Did you know that I am despair filled heart? Waiting to see more than lifeless starts. Living it so worthless to me, All I have left is in you, you see. So start there hoping on. I'll keep singing despair's song..." -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- She frowns down at her reflection, the once pure blue water long since stained purple with blood and dye still shows her in perfect detail. Perfect like she had been. That ugly, horrible twin of hers. They share eyes, mouths, hair, clothes, bodies. They were identical down to a key. Expect for one thing. Her eyes wonder down, a smile slipping on her face as comfort slips into her. Blood, dried and not as beautiful as it once had been, stains the plead skirt she wears. Her eyes brighten, stars shining in them. Her sister was strong by far, but Jazz was stronger than her for once. Jasmine could kill. Lucille could not. So Lucille had to die. Her beautiful, perfect sister turned cold in her hands. She pleaded and begged Jazz to help her, to just stop being foolish. But it was Lucille who was foolish. She thought she was invincible, she thought she wasn't going to die due to her weaknesses. Jasmine proved her wrong. Jasmine no longer is in the shadow of her sister. Jasmine... Jasmine had watched her sister bleed to death in her arms. That day Jazz had cast off her old name and became known as JEM. Nothing would stand in her way now. Nothing... She splashes the water, causing a ripple, "What is my problem...? No need to think about the past. I am an Inverse. My job is to deceive, to kill." Looking up she sees that the sun is about half way into the sky and sighs. "Right. I need to go and check on Puppy..." --- Walking into the plains, she looks around with a bored expression. This place is so plain, unlike her beautiful woods. She looks around, eyes scanning the tail grass. As she walks, movement catches her eye, her staff slams into a wolf's side, its snarl crackling as she mutters under breath, "Starless, empty, and lost." The wolf's body lands on the ground, its blank gaze staring up at her. "Stupid mutt." She really hates glitches. They make her job so much harder when they don't listen to her. Sighing she continues to walk forward. Reaching a large rock she steps onto it and then whistles followed by a call, "Puuuuppppppppppppyyyyyyyyyyyyyy~! C'mere, Puppy~!" She whistles again and shouts "Puppy" one more time as she waits for her pet to show up.

Zane had gone to lie down in the grass for the day. With nothing to do until his partners came around, the only thing he could do was stare at the sky with blank and empty eyes. "Hmm...I wonder, new people have shown up. Hopefully they aren't feeling too much despair right now....this game can definitely do that to you....it should be fine though, that is what she told me at least. It'll be fine so long as the new players don't lose hope."
He looks over to the sound of snarling. A glitch growls as it is about to attack. He stares blankly at it before he holds out his hand. "It's okay. Good glitchy." Needless to say, it chomps on his hand and he begins to bleed as it's fangs dig deeper. "Sigh....bad glitchy. Oh well....that's how it goes I guess." The wolf continues to bite as him and more and more blood starts spilling from his hand. "Hey....that really hurts ya know." He stands up and gives the glitch a good punch to the head before it stumbles back. "Bad wolf, you really need to learn to be more polite." He sighs as his ears twitch and he pauses. He closes his eyes and listens as the plains carry a voice to him. He hears a female voice calling for a puppy before opening his eyes.
"Ah....it's her. Well, goodbye little glitch, I don't have time to teach you now. My partner seems to be calling me." He quickly puts his hands into his pockets as he begins to slide around the ground. A few minutes later, he is standing in front of JEM and giving a light bow. "Well hello. You were calling Jazz? Also, am I permanently named puppy now?"

"You come faster when I call 'Puppy'," While on the rock she's eye level with him so she shrugs while examining his expression. It seems to have its usual feel to it, she finds herself nodding as she feels her face turning into a slightly annoyed expression. A thought bubbles up and, before she can even fully understand it, she speaks it. "Let me guess. You were sleeping, weren't you, Zane?"
She doesn't wait for an answer as she rolls her eyes, "Stupid, Puppy. Sleeping on the job. What if a player showed up? Or a glitch decided to turn you into a snack? You shouldn't be sleeping alone, ya know..." Jazz pauses before giving a humph and looking away from him. "Whatever. I think a loner in around here, the glitches are more active than usual after all... We better get ready to go hunting." She then hops from the rock, glad that since the first time they met, she's grown. At least now she's only about a head shorter than him, sometimes she wonders if--
No, not going there.
She raises a brow at him.
"Let me know when you're ready."
She's always ready. For the chase, the hunt, the kill...
"But don't take your time... We're already on a schedule, ya know."

He cocks his head to the side when she remarks about him coming faster to the name 'Puppy.' "Oh? Do I now? Well then, I suppose if you are saying it, it must be the case. Alright then, puppy it is." He patiently sits there and waits for her to finish scolding him before he speaks again. He dusts himself off as he stands up to speak.
"I wasn't sleeping. I was just staring at the sky because I was bored. I ran into a glitch before you called me, and once I heard your voice, I just came here. In any event, I'm ready to go when you are." A Halo forms in his bloody hand as he waits for her to lead the way.

The girl turns to go when she blinks and looks back.
Huffs and then shakes her head.
"Did the dumb mutt attack you?" She gestures towards his hand, her tone bored. "Let me see." Facing him again she holds out her hand, her eyes darker than normal as she waits.

He blinks at her a few times before he looks at his hand. "Yes, the glitch bit me. It look worse than it feels. Which I suppose isn't saying much. Alright, here you go." He calmly gives her his hand which is bleeding a little less than it was when he was first bitten. The fang marks are quite apparent, and the wound itself is not as large as it could be, but still pretty big.

She frowns before reaching into her bra with her other hand and pulls out a few leaves, looking through them she picks a yellow one. Popping it into her mouth she chews it, her nose wrinkling at the bitter taste, then fishes out the now mushed up herb. Then she rubs it into the fang marks, adding pressure as she does. Releasing his hand with her first she pulls her ribbon from her and pulls out a green leave as well. She wraps the ribbon and leaf around his hand, "There. That should at least prevent infection." Letting go of his hand she turns away and begins to walk, her steps light and precise. "Come. Lets go hunting now." And she falls into a skipping pace.

He stares at his hand for a moment before nodding and walking after her. "Thank you then. I'll heal it while the leaves do their thing. Also, what are we hunting now? You never really specified. Are we hunting glitches, or something else?" He stays only about a foot from her side as he walks, but he watches her facial expressions to see how she reacts to everything he says.

At the thank you she rolls her eyes, but continues to listen to him. Sighing she shakes her head, "Seems we've gotta loner player. Someone who didn't get the run down from the Boss. So. We gotta introduce them to the game... The hard way." She giggles a little as she turns around while walking and smirking at him. "You ready to play, hmm?"

"They're here. In yours," She sighs and shakes her head. "I just said that earlier, keep up." With that she turns around and returns to her skipping like movements. A few minutes later she slows and does a "ssshhhhhhhh" pose back at Zane. The grass moves around to the left as if someone is stumbling around. The girl's eyes sparkle and a large grin spreads on her face.
She turns to him before giggling and jumping into the moving grass. She lands on a young boy, around fourteen. He shrieks with tears in their eyes as she grins and hops off of him, "Come on, Puppy~ We caught a cry baby~...!"

He walks over to them and kneels down.
"Yes....he is crying. This one seems like he's drowning in despair right about now." He then looks over to her. "Well....what do you want to do then now that they are here?"

Jazz rocks back and forth, from her heels onto her toes. A bright smile on her face as she watches the boy continue to cry lightly, like the fear taken remains he's been reduced to. After a moment she sighs, "Lets give him a choice, hmm?" She too drops down to the boy's level, wrapping her arms around her knees and skirt. "How about it Teary? A choice sounds good, right? Well, even if not. Its simple. You can either take the hard way or the easy way out."
The boy looks up at her, confused. So far everything has either tried to eat him or trick him or worse... How could he trust her. But, even if her eyes seem a little too bright, her smile is gentle. She holds out her hand and helps him onto his feet. While wiping his nose he asks, "But... What... What's the difference?"
"Mmm... Simple... The hard way involves you staying here and the easy way involves you running away..."

Zane looks at the two with interest, slightly confused about the thoughts that may have been running through Jazz's head. He lightly steps around the two, bouncing on his toes as he does so. He looks at Jazz and the new boy with an odd innocence in his eyes. A question looms in his mind and he waits to make sure she is done speaking before he says something. "Umm...JEM? What exactly are you thinking right now? Even I'm a little lost as to what you mean."

She blinks before smiling and standing, "Well. We could drag him into a battle to the death... Or we could just tell the glitches to fetch. The hard way and the easy way~."
The boy looks confused, "Glitches...?"
"Mmmmhhhmmm, they seem to be such adorable puppies today, isn't that right, Puppy?"

He thinks for a moment as he ponders her question. "Umm....they seemed just a bit agitated to me. But they are adorable I suppose. But...aren't those unfair options? Battle to the death though? Do you mean with us? Isn't that overkill?"
He shakes his head slightly and pats the boy on the shoulder, smiling. "Don't you worry about a thing. I'm sure you can handle whatever comes your way."

The boy blinks up at Zane as Jazz sighs, "No, its not. Either way he'll die. One way is merciful, the other painful." The boy now looks confused and she huffs, whistling long and sharp. She then takes Zane's arm and drags him away from the boy. The sounds of a hunting pack can be heard. "Well, regardless of his choice. You're right. This one is nicer... If more painful."
"Wha...wait! Don't I still get a choice?!"
"Nah," She hums. "This way is better, isn't it?"
"B-bu-but-!"
She holds up her hand, "Sorry, no buts. Only blood... And feeding time~..."

Zane blinks and laughs as he lifts Jazz into the air. "Come on JEM, don't be so mean. Would it really be all that bad to give him a chance? He could always fight me? Won't you at least be a little bit nicer to the kid?"
He looks over at the scared boy again and nods.
"We have to give him some form of hope now."

"Ugh! You and your damn hope... Fine... How about this? You two fight off the doggies. If you get hurt and draw blood first we let him go. If he does then we let the doggies eat him. Sound fair?"
"Um-"
"And I wasn't asking you, player."

Zane thinks for a moment before he nods with a bright, "Sounds great! It's a wonderful idea!" He hops up as the wolves approach before he claps his hand together and goes, c'mon kiddo, you can't sit down and wait forever you know?"
He walks forward and pulls his weapons, looking forward to what may come.

The boy pulls himself onto his feet. Knowing the other was right. He's gotta try to man up. Even if they're afraid of dogs. Like... Really afraid...
Jazz sighs and skips off as the wolves circle in. The boy shaking a little as grass around them shifts. It seems the hunt has really began now.

Zane smiles reassuringly as he simply says, "Give it your best kid, and relax! A dog is a dog, and that's just it. Even if they look scary, just think of them like cans or soccerballs. Give em a good kick when they come. They'll back right off."
As Zane says that he laughs, throwing his halo and throwing back a wolf or two.

The boy nods, trying to grasp onto something, anything mentally. Something to stop him from freezing up when the barking and snarling animals get close. The only thing he could think of was something he heard from a movie once. "Alright. Six impossible things... One. I was sucked into a video game." He barely dodges a wolf's snapping jaws. "Two... This video game wants to kill me..."

He looks at the boy before calmly saying. "Six impossible things huh? That's a good strategy. It wouldn't really work for me. I think I'm too open minded to think anything is really impossible. However, if it helps, feel free to go for it."
After a small while, one of the wolves stop to sniff the air for a moment before looking to Zane. It calls the attention of other wolves as they all start to walk towards Zane.
"Ohhhh....well then. I think....they know I was bleeding. Gotta remember they are attracted to blood."
After that, all of the wolves then dog pile Zane as they try to get a bite.

The boy backs away, shaking. He's not going to help. That's not a smart thing, to help that is. But, at the same time, he couldn't just run away. His actions torn as he kind of just stares.
Jazz meanwhile is frowning and growing annoyed.

As the wolves start to tear and bite away at what they can, Jazz begins to see some of the wolves pull back, a small bit of blood on their muzzles, before they dive back in to try and rip apart what they can. She hears no sound from Zane, but even if there was a sound, it would be hard to hear over the sounds of the growling and howling of the wolves.

"Game Over."
Jazz then calmly and quickly walks over, smacking one wolf away as she uses her mind element to cut off all their senses except touch. She smacks another one with a furious growl.
The boy watches.

By the time Jazz swats away the last wolf, Zane is lying there with tattered clothes and bitten limbs. "Hi...sorry Jazz. Apparently they like the smell of blood. Man...these actually really hurt. I'm...feeling a little tired too. Hey...Jazz, can I...take a nap?"
He tries not to doze off as he lies there. He starts to nod off as blood continues to flow out of him.

Jazz shakes her head no and drops down to knees next to him, "Not yet, Puppy. Hold on." She doesn't have time to use any herbs so she pulls him into her arms and begins to use her Light element to heal him a bit. She also glares at the boy. "I suggest you run, brat."
He wisely does.
