1.
The girl couldn't sleep. She checked on herself to see if she had anything. No weapons, no notes, pretty much nothing. Except for a little, tiny note book with a lock clasp. Attatched to it on a small, thin chain is a key. She opens the journal, hoping and praying something is inside, all she sees is the date printed on the top and on the inside is the word "STARLESS" printed on the inside. What does that mean? Sighing she stares at the thing for a long time. Its pages seem sturdy to her, though black and empty. She reaches into her pocket again, wondering if she has a pen.
Pulling her hand out with no success she frowns before checking the other side. A small smile appears on her face. A sharp point pricks her. Pulling out what looks like a small futuristic ink well pen she frowns. She doesn't have any ink. Shaking it she hears a little tinker inside. Frowning she draws a heart in the top, right corner. A bright silver heart is made. She smiles.
"Alright... I'll try writing then," She whispers to herself...

Dear Journal,
The night sky outside is just that. Starless. But, then again, the sky has always been. Like spilled ink defying gravity. Its seemingly endless, but scientists have proven that wrong... Although, supposedly being dragged into game with out really having any recollection of it... is pretty creepy... and supposedly proven wrong as well. What if its all lies, what if we are beyond where our sky ends? That would be scary.
Speaking of scary. Three, no, five people I met today. One is pretty strong willed, female, and cocky. Despite the fact she's heavily opinionated we don't seem to be following her blindly. Though, if she really thought breaking into small groups when we're so small and weak as it is is a good idea, I am worried she might try to venture out on her own. I don't want anyone to die. Not even Makoto. Right, that's what they had said her name was. Mako for short. She's strong willed, a fighter, perfect for her strike class position. Day. I mean Damian, I think that's how you spell it, is coolly strong. Its kind of cool. And... Standing in his shadow isn't relaxing, but it natural feeling. Like a little girl holding her daddy's hand to cross the street natural. Then Leon. I met him first. He's pretty gentle seeming... Which is good seeing... seeing where we're at we'll need all the humanity we can get.
We then, the four of us, met the bad guy of this game. You know, they typical explanation of what's what and who's who. Although a little mysterious... I think I've got it figured out. We have elements. And, depending on the culture base, that could be a lot... But, for right now... I'll go with the main four I know. Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. Yeah. I watched Avatar the Last Air bender, so what? Day is definitely Fire, that one is obvious. Leon... wisp like... has to be Air. Mako... Lake like. Well. A lake is a body of water... and water usually has waves on it and with lakes that's usually done with wind more so than the moon's pull. So, Mako must be Water and Air. And me...? Sturdy would be Earth, but its not reflective. Alright. Lets add in a little less basic, but still common... Alright. Light and Shadow. Wait... But then... wisp like... crap. Leon could be Air, Light, or Shadow! As for me... I could be Light because it's reflected and refracted off of things.
Oh boy. This is getting hard... Later... I'll figure this out later.
Anyways. Ended up searching the place we started off at. We didn't find much. But, at least, we did learn once we know our elements we can buy stuff to make us resistant to our weaknesses. That's good news. There are some really expensive herbs for healing and stuff, since they were out of our price range I assume there must be a cheaper or simpler way to get healing items. Maybe eating food, sleeping, or even forging... Like one would do anyways, if able to, in a standard adventure game. Hmm... Maybe...
We also found the jobs board. It looks like we need to unlock out elements to do jobs, but, at least, there seems to be someone from the strive class whom has unlocked their element [or elements] already. We went searching for them. No luck, of course. For all we know they're just a part of this game to send us running in the wrong direction. But... I've gotta think positive. If they happen to be someone who can help us, then we'll be able to take this game a little easier. Right now though... We're kinda screwed...
Oh. We also met Alice.
She kinda just walked into our room. Apparently the card keys work on all the doors, talk about bad coding. Moving forward, she acted like a player. Unfortunately she wasn't the person we're looking for. On the bright side that means that we have a larger group. In games like this, or at least I think so, the more people the better off we'll be as a whole...
The sky is turning a dark blue color, I better get off to sleep before it starts to get really light instead of black. Good night.
Sincerely,
Brianna Shears

Pocketing both items and laying on her side with so the items won't poke into her, Bri closes her eyes. A smile drifting onto her features as she drifts away peacefully. Somehow writing calmed her and made her tired. Although she's sure its all in her head and she was tired to begin with. So, for the first time, she sleeps in a foreign hotel bed inside of a video game. For the moment she won't wonder if time has passed out side of the game or if anyone will notice she's gone. For the moment she'll just sleep...
