Normally this isn't the type of thing I would do. Hell, normally I'd just go out for a walk to clear my head but that's not really a good idea in this place. I'm definitely no PhD graduate but I have enough sense in me to know that much. Bri said that writing this stuff down helped her to sleep so I figured I'd give it a go.
To say this week has been weird is a huge understatement. Apparently I've been sucked into the video game I bought and if I die in here then I die out there too. Seems like the plot out of some late night movie. You know the ones, those old B-movies that came out before the 90s but this is nowhere near as amusing as "Killer Clowns from Space". Thankfully I'm not doing this on my own. I haven't been here for too long but we've already assembled our own little rag-tag group.
There's Bri, a small girl who is shy, quiet, and very timid. She's usually hiding in my shadow or in Leon's, makes me glad that she joined us because I don't know if she would've survived this long without a group. I hope that I'm wrong but with luck I won't ever have to find out. Then there's Leon. Incredibly smart guy with a real talent for observation, he's really invaluable as a team-mate. Also, as much as I appreciate having the girls around, it's nice not to be the only guy in the group. I don't think estrogen overdose would be a very nice way to go... usually.
Alice, the newest member of our group, is pretty reserved. It's hard to get an idea of what she's like but she seems trustworthy. Then again, the aim of the game is to get stronger and beat the "Game Master", not to kill each other.
Finally there's Makoto. Stubborn, fiery, cocky, and pretty. Having her around will definitely make things interesting but I do worry that her gaming experience has made her a little overconfident. I'm all for facing a challenge head on and we definitely share some of the same traits but this talk of her going off on her own if we do need to split off into groups? Doesn't sit right with me. As far as we know, if we lose then we're not going to get a simple little Game Over screen. Sure, Top Hat Guy or "Shade", as he called himself, could be lying but I don't really want to gamble on that without damn good reason.
Still, we'll just have to cross that bridge when we come to it. First things first, we need to find our Fearscapes and get our elements. Without those we're never getting out of here.
