Bri nods and listens before speaking.
"Though... I'm not interesting in being attacked or something akin to it... We do know we need to know more. Personally, from games I've played, I've seen the more you know to begin with the better. We do have some time. Lets search for a bit... If we don't find anything then... I guess... Crash?" She pauses and then sighs to herself. "Should we, uh, vote on it......... or... something...?"

It seemed like the decision was pretty much unanimous. "Alright then, hope this person shows up, crash at the inn tonight, and hope we have better luck tomorrow." He summed up with a decisive nod before Damian turned to Leon. "I can go book us a room or two ahead of time. We probably should before other players start coming in to look for a bed for the night."

She frowned. "I don't know how much help looking for this other player is going to be. They seem to be looking ofr a serious head start - and if anything, the fact that they went through it, likely without a meeting with Annoying Top Hat Man, would be a clue that you can at least unlock your element with a couple of easy missions without too much trouble. Certainly before being able to earn any significant income, AKA before buying any kinds of supplies. Still, I'm outvoted, but I don't think we're gonna find them. Probably a hardcore solo."

Leon nods and simply replies with, "Well, we won't know unless we try. Everything else is just as much a possibility as everything I had been saying to this point. Alright, should we split up for now and regroup here once it gets dark, or stick with the pairs of two?"

Bri pips up at this, "Pairs of two... But, this time... Maybe we should switch people?" Kinda like that show where they trade spouses, Her inner voice muses. "But definitely regroup before dark... this is a, uh, horror game... after... all..."

"Didn't that guy say that we had to face our fears or something like that before we could unlock our elements?" Damian asked as he looked over towards Mako. He heard Bri pipe up about her choice of splitting up into pairs but switching partners. The young man gave her a questioning look, mostly because she had only seemed comfortable around Leon. "I guess I don't have anything against it." There was some slight hesitance in his voice since he hadn't expected it. "Whether we stick together or split up, let's meet up back at the inn around sundown."

"I agree. We should be indoors before the sun's completely set - night is gonna be the most dangerous time in any horror game." She shook her head. "If we're switching partners, I'll head off with Newbie kid. His friend here seems a little shy of me." She laughed nervously. "Sorry, I know I can be loud and demanding. This game's gonna do enough to scare us without putting each other into bad situations."

He calmly breaks out into a smile and says, "Alright, cool. These are the teams we'll go with for today. Tomorrow morning we'll switch things up and go gender with gender. Feel free to take the lead, I'll follow behind. You two stay safe alright?"

Bri had nodded at Damian's question. She then quickly scampers into her new partner's shadow. Once there she speaks, "You lead...?" Please...? Once again she is more than willing to follow behind and pick up details as they go along. Brianna does wave after the other two as they leave.

Things seemed to square off alright since none of the others seemed to have an issue with the change in partners. "Good luck to you too." He told the other pair even as Brianna scurried into his shadow and suggested that he lead. He shrugged and began to walk off, hardly caring one way or another if he led as long as he wasn't going straight into the arms of death. "Right this way then. Might as well look around the outskirts for a bit."

Leon gives it a bit more thought before snapping his fingers, looking at Mako, and saying, "Well, the best thing that we can do right now is check the places we know for a fact players can actually visit. If it's a player who's used to this, and they are trying to preserve energy and time, they might stock up on items or get a quest before sleeping at the inn so that they can set out first thing in the morning, which is why I thought if we waited, we might miss our chance. Let's try the most logical places first. Since it's starting to get late, any players that have or are probably trying to complete a quest, are most likely just now returning. Checking the borders where people would enter or exit the marketplace is probably wise to catch anyone who comes in. If that doesn't work, it's safe to assume that they want to turn in their possibly completed quest, so checking there might give some results. After that, they might wanna stock up or get some rest, so on the way to the inn to meet up with the other two, we can keep our eyes peeled for any new faces shopping."
He nods to himself as his thought finishes. "Sound good to you? If so, lead the way!"

Brianna nods, "Lets." And then falls into step behind Damian. Silently she's looking for someone who they, well, she hasn't seen before, that isn't acting like an NPC.

Their search didn't yield much and so when the sun began to set Damian led Brianna to where the inn was located in order to wait for the others. He sat on a bench that was against the wall of the inn, idly playing with the chain he'd slightly unravelled from around his wrist. "Ok, I've got two thoughts." Damian started, ravelling the chain around his wrist again with a jerk of his arm. "We could either get two rooms, boy-boy and girl-girl, that sort of thing. Or we could all try to cram into one room and make our money go a bit further. What do you think?"

"As long as you and newbie-kid play nice, I'd say get one room," Mako said, plopping down next to Damian. "Makes sure that if mobs don't drop cash that we've got enough for tomorrow as well."

Damian laughed at Mako's remark about playing nice before Bri gave her one requirement about not sharing beds. He gave an idle shrug to show that it didn't bother him. "Fine with me, I don't mind sleeping on the floor." Besides, Damian was sure that if they were going to be travelling then not sleeping in a bed was probably something he was going to have to get used to. "Ok, who wants to book the room?" He asked as he fished his money from his jeans pocket.

He gives an audible sigh before he looks at the others and says, "Okay...fine. I'll deal with it, and get some food too." He looks at Bri as she makes her condition heard. He blinks at her a few times before he calmly says, "If it came to sharing rooms I was gonna offer you girls the bed anyway. I have a bunch of sisters and it gets rough on them without a bed to sleep on. Don't worry bout sharing since Damian seems to agree with me."

Bri pauses before walking over to Leon's shadow, she grabs onto the back if his coat, looking down, "Lets go." It hadn't seemed either of the other two wanted to go with him. And... Well... Even hotels could be dangerous. At least this time there isn't a swimming pool... She also fishes into her pockets to pull out her money, slipping it into his hands.

Things were quickly settled and Damian handed over his money to their banker so that the room could be rented. "Well, might as well enjoy it either way. Might be our last night under a roof for a little while." Damian looked at the inn as he spoke before he gestured for Leon to go in first. "Well, bankers first." He jested with a grin.

"And then the ladies," Mako said with a grin, nudging Damian in the side with an elbow. "Just remember, hands to yourself when we get into the room. I don't mind huddling for warmth, though." She winked at him, then waltzed into the inn with a chuckle.

Leon gives a soft laugh as the others all react and say their piece. "Alright, alright, I get it. I'm still banker." He walks off to get things prepared, and is caught off guard when Bri grabs his coat. "Oh...okay then." He goes off to get everything situated and when he returns he gives another sigh. "Welp...we are good to go. I got us food, and we can rent another room for tomorrow if we need. Shall we?"

Bri had followed behind him, shadowing him and holding onto his coat in silence. Quickly she fell into his pace, mimicking him effortlessly as she looks around him to see the other two once again. Ducking back and keeping her eyes on her feet she says, "... I'm ready........ Its.... almost dark..."

Damian smirked at Mako's remark and her wink. "Careful, I might just take you up on that." He replied with a playful glint in his eyes before he looked to Leon. "Sounds good to me." With that said he followed Mako into the inn. At least they could look forward to some decent rest for that night before they headed out.

Leon simply thought to himself, 'Don't wanna know what that's about...' as he sees the other two and enters the inn room. Looking around, he sees 2 beds with two pillows on each, and a closet with extra sheets and towels. He takes a look around the room and nods, commenting on it's realism. "Wow...it even has a bathroom...Nice touch. I think we will do fine here tonight.....you guys? Don't worry, food comes soon." As he says so, he starts making his bed on the floor using the blankets. "Guess we unwind for tonight. You joining me on the floor tonight Damian?"

Brianna walks past Leon to the farthest bed and sits on its edge. Being close enough to the window in order to draw back the curtains and peek out she does so. This place certainly looks big even from here. Looking back at the group a moment she sighs then stands and opens the curtains. With the outside exposed she feels a little... calmer. Even if she has to share a room with the others.

"Hey, a guy can dream, right?" He joked as he followed them inside and into the room. Since he was the last person to walk in he closed the door behind them, the lock automatically clicking into place. "Yep, I'll be sleeping on the floor too." Damian answered Leon and removed his beanie, his black hair falling forward around the side of his head from where it had been pushed back.
"It'll be nice to get a good meal tonight." He said to the others with a smile as he pushed his beanie into the pocket of his hoodie where it could be easily retrieved once they left in the morning. "
